Weird Questions Tag.

One thing I like to do when i've run out of ideas for my blog is to look for a questions tag to answer. And here's the latest one i've found!

1. What's a nickname only your family calls you? My Mum calls me Kevin, after the Kevin and Perry sketch when he turns into a teenager...apparently that's what I was like...
2. What's a weird habit of yours? I can't watch the TV unless the volume is on a multiple of 5...
3. Do you have any weird phobias? It's not really a phobia but bananas freak me out. I just can't trust them.
4. What's a song you secretly love to blast out and belt out when you're alone? A lot of the time when i'm in the car I love to belt out any Bruno Mars songs.
5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves? I have to choose one? I have a lot. I think my top one would be loud eaters, whether it's chewing with your mouth open, talking with your mouthful or just generally being a loud eater. It makes my blood boil.
6. What's one of your nervous habits? When i'm reaaaally nervous my legs tend to shake a lot. I did the Harbour Bridge Climb in Sydney a few weeks ago and my legs were going nuts (i'm scared of heights).
7. What side of the bed do you sleep on? All of it.
8. What was your first stuffed animal and what was it called? I had a clown called Mister Clown. I know, very imaginative. My sister has him now.
9. What's your usual drink order at Starbucks? If it's warm out i'll get a Caramel Frappucino, but if it's cold i'll get a Caramel Latte. Yum.
10. What's your guilty pleasure TV show? Either Jeremy Kyle or one of the Real Housewives TV shows.
11. Which way do you face in the shower? I'm a claustrophobe so I always face out of the shower.
12. Do you have any weird body 'skills'? I can squint my eyes?
13. What's your favourite comfort food? Biscuits & cookies. Yes, there is a difference.
14. What's a phrase or exclamation that you always say? "Fantastic" (in a sarcastic way).
15. Time to sleep, what are you actually wearing? So I guess this is the way the world finds out I sleep naked.

So what tends to happen when I can't think about a new blog post is i'll search for a questions tag, so here's the latest one I found!

1. What was the last book you read?
The last one I finished was The DUFF by Kody Keplinger. But at the moment i'm reading How To Be A Woman by Caitlin Moran. I used to read a lot but at the moment I seem to have hit some sort of reading wall. I'm trying to get back into it though!

2. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
At some point in my life I really want to live in America, even if it's just for a few months.

3. What are your biggest fears?
Needles, heights (even just watching videos where someone skydives makes me feel uneasy), clowns, wasps and to some extent, the dark!

4. Are you ruled by your head or your heart?
I don't really know. Honestly most of the time it's like a battle between the 2.

5. What motivates you to work hard?
Money? And the satisfaction when i've done something well (which doesn't happen a lot).

6. Who is your favourite Disney character?
Eeyore. My room is like a shrine to him.

7. What TV series are you currently watching?
Gossip Girl (for the third time). And keeping up to date with Pretty Little Liars of course.

8. What was the last movie you went to? What did you think of it?
Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It was brilliant. I'd only watched the first 6 films for the first time the week before and i'm just obsessed with the whole franchise now.

9. What's your favourite season?
Summerrrr.

10. What is your favourite game or sport to watch and play?
Haha no.

11. Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse or drive a car?
I like driving my car but i'd love to be able to ride a horse.

12. Do you have any pets? If not do you want any and what do you want?
I have a black and white cat called Freddie, he can be adorable when he's not channeling the spawn of satan. I really want a black Pug and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

13. What is your favourite animal?
I love dolphins and tigers.

14. What are the 2 most painful things that you've experienced?
I've genuinely had a proper think about this one and I don't think i've ever really experienced anything physically really painful. I did break my collarbone when I was younger but if i'm honest that didn't really hurt (badman I know). I suppose getting my daith (cartilage bit in the middle of your ear) pierced hurt a lot. And maybe when I burnt my arm on the pizza oven at a restaurant where I used to work (pictures below).

15. Who would you most like to spend the day with?
Literally any member of the Avengers.

16. If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
Either the 20's or the 90's, they looked so fun.

17. What are your top 2 pet peeves?
Hands down chewing loudly. My family and friends know how much this ticks me off, it actually makes me angry. My second is definitely when people don't use their indicators when driving. It drives me up the wall (sorry).

18. What's your favourite type of foreign food?
I love love love Italian or Mexican.

19. Do you collect anything?
I have quite a few Pandora charms if that counts? I also like interesting cocktail stirrers!

20. Is there anything you would like to achieve before the end of the year?
I ask myself this year and I know it's totally lame but I just want to be happy!

Get To Know The Blogger

Recently my pal Thomas (mentioned quite a few times on this blog) tagged me in a questions post located here for me to answer.

1. Do you have a middle name? I do not. I'm usually quite reluctant to tell this story but I want to answer these as truthfully as possible. When my sister was born, I was a very jealous 6 year old because my new baby sister got a middle name and I never had one. I know, how rude. So I decided to make up my own. Annabel Star Riley. My Mum tells this to everyone we meet so naturally, I get called Star a lot.
2. What was your favourite subject in school? I loved Art. I've always been very creative and get my drawing skills from my Dad. I'd spend hours drawing in my sketchbooks and adding things to projects. It's the only thing i've ever received an A in.
3. What's your favourite drink? Wine. Unless it's none alcoholic, then it's more wine because that's ridiculous.
4. What's your favourite song at the moment? I hate this question. I can never pick one song to focus on. I usually have a top few but at the moment i'm liking a lot of different things.
5. What would you name your children? It's kind of a Riley family 'in' thing, but my Granddad used to love birds, especially Robins. I absolutely adored my Granddad and ever since he died 5 years ago it's always been a thing to see a Robin and know that Granddad's looking out for us. It's because of this I want to name my first girl Robyn.
6. Do you participate in sports? That's hilarious.
7. What's your favourite book? Nope. Impossible. You can't do that to me.
8. What's your favourite colour? Purple. My room looks like Barney threw up.
9. What's your favourite animal? I really like Dolphins and Tigers. For as long as I can remember it's been my #1 dream to swim with Dolphins. I finally got to do this in Mexico a few years ago. Next on the bucket list is to cuddle a Tiger cub.
10. What's your favourite perfume? I've been using Thierry Mugler's Alien for a while now and I love love love it, however in Duty Free on the way home from Mallorca last week I treated myself to a bottle of Marc Jacob's Violet which i'm quite liking right now.
11. What's your favourite holiday? Definitely Christmas. I'm one of those sickeningly happy people that get way too excited when the Coca Cola advert first screens in November. And I still can't sleep on Christmas Eve.
12. Have you graduated from High School? I have indeed. Just under 4 years ago.
13. Have you been out of the country? A few times yes. I've been on holiday to Jamaica, Mallorca, Menorca, Lapland, Paris, Belgium, Mexico and Spain. I've never lived or travelled abroad, but I'm planning to do both of those in the US when University is out of the way.
14. Do you speak another language? Not fluently. I know quite a bit of Spanish which I try use as much as possible when i'm on holiday there. I'd love to be fluent one day though.
15. Do you have any siblings? I do. She's my favourite human and the bane of my life, Emma.
16. What's your favourite store? Either River Island or Waterstones.
17. What's your favourite restaurant? I could eat at TGI Fridays every day of the week. I got pretty close to this once. I felt like I had to work out for months afterwards though.
18. Do you like school? I didn't like High School. I was bullied towards the beginning so that wasn't fun. But I really enjoyed 6th Form.
19. Who are some of your favourite YouTubers? I really don't watch YouTube videos that much. Just the likes of whatever pops up on Facebook. I'm subscribed to Tom Fletcher from McBusted who seems to pull out a classic video every month, and I also quite like Zoella's videos.
20. What's your favourite movie? Jurassic Park. Hands down.
21. What are some of your favourite TV shows? The Big Bang Theory, The Vampire Diaries, FRIENDS, Sherlock and Game of Thrones.
22. PC or MAC? I love my MAC more than I love myself.
23. What phone do you have? iPhone 5s in gold (debating getting the next iPhone when it's released though)
24. How tall are you? This is pretty much the same answer Tom gave but my situation's the same. I think i'm 5'8" but Mum tell's me i'm 5'7" so ok.
25. Any pets? I have a demented cat called Freddie. I'm convinced he is the spawn of Satan.

I realise i've been a bit AWOL recently. It wasn't intended, i've just been suffering a little bit of writers' block! To tr and get the creative juices flowing, I found this idea for a post on Tumblr, which will hopefully get me some inspiration for some more blog posts. If you could...

1. Travel anywhere, where would it be? I can't choose, there are so many places I really want to visit. I guess it would probably be Thailand. I've read The Beach by Alex Garland and The Backpacker by John Harris and I loved learning about the culture and the backpacker atmosphere out there.
2. Meet anyone, who would it be? As crazy as she is, i'd love to spend the day with Miley Cyrus. I can imagine that a day with her would be pretty hard to forget!
3. Bring anyone dead back to life, who would it be? I'm a pretty big believer in 'everything happens for a reason' and if I had the choice of bringing someone back, I don't think I would. But if I had to choose, it would be my Grandma Anne, she died before I was born and I feel slightly cheated that I never got the chance to meet her.
4. Be anyone for a day, who would it be? I absolutely worship the ground Jennifer Lawrence walks on. She's such an inspirational and hilarious woman. It would be brilliant to be her for a day.
5. Get anything for free for the rest of your life, what would it be? Soap and Glory everything.
6. Change one thing about your life, what would it be? Sometimes I think it would have been cool to apply to University in America. Going by the movies they seem to have way more fun, but it might be different in real life. Hopefully I can do a semester abroad.
7. Have any superpower, what would it be? Ever since I was little I have always wanted to fly.
8. Be any animal for a day, which would you be? A dolphin, I love swimming.
9. Date anyone, who would it be? Zac Efron.
10. Change one thing about the world, what would it be? I'd eliminate either cancer or war.
11. Live in any fictional universe, which would you choose? Harry Potter. Without a doubt.
12. Eliminate one of your human needs, which one would you get rid of? Going to the toilet. It's just so boring and unnecessary.
13. Change one thing about your physical appearance, what would it be? Everyone who knows me knows my immediate answer to this question.
14. Change one of your personality traits, which would you choose? I suppose I wish I was less selfish. I'm, not massively selfish, but sometimes when someone is talking to me I just find myself getting bored with what they're saying. Maybe I just need to listen more.
15. Be talented at anything instantly, what would you choose? Cooking (i'm really bad).
16. Forget one event from your life, which would you choose? I wouldn't want to erase anything really. I don't have any regrets with things I have done in the past. "Don't regret the past, because at that moment in time, it's exactly what you wanted to do". I don't know who wrote that but remembering it time and time again makes me happier.
17. Erase an event from history, which would you choose? 911.
18. Change one law in your country, which would you change? Anyone who has been in the car with me whilst i've been behind the wheel knows about my road rage. It just really grinds my gears when people drive right up close to the back of my car, fail to indicate, drive incredibly slow on a fast road and hog lanes. And that's just the start of my driving pet hates. If I could, i'd make a law so that everyone has to re take their driving test every 10 years.
19. Have any job in the world, which would you choose? I'd love to be an actress.
20. Have anything appear in your pocket right now, what would it be? A plane ticket to travel the world.

A friend of  a friend posted answers to these questions on her blog (which you can read here) because she has a bit of writers' block. I feel like this too so I decided to do the same!

1. What is one of your biggest dreams? When I was younger my #1 lifetime ambition was to swim with dolphins. When I went to Mexico a couple of years ago I finally got to do it, so at the moment I don't really have one!

2. Name three things that are physically close to you. A spoon, my pencil case and a bottle of strawberry water.

3. What's an idea Sunday for you? Spending the day in bed, knowing there's absolutely nothing that I need to do.

4. Do you drive? If so, have you ever crashed? In May i'll have been driving for 3 years. Just a couple of weeks after I passed my test I had a super minor little bump. My cousin was in the car and we were messing about singing along to the radio and I wasn't concentrating properly. We were queuing at a roundabout and the car in front moved slightly, and I just drove straight into the back of him. We were going to slow that fortunately there was no damage to either f the cars and no one was even remotely hurt (just my dignity).

5. What time did you wake up this morning? Too damn early.

6. What's one thing in your closet that you couldn't live without? My ripped jeans from Topshop. I wear them far too much and i'd be completely lost without them.

7. What's the last movie you saw? Catching Fire.

8. What does your last text message say? "Check ya Twittah" (From my sister).

9. Something physical that stands out? Erm, what?

10. Have you ever been to a different country? Mexico, Spain, France, Belgium, Scotland, Finland, Wales, Jamaica.

11. Do you like sushi? I LOVE SUSHI.

13. Have you ever taken medication to help you fall asleep faster? Nope. I don't think I ever would, even if I developed a really bad case of insomnia. I'm kind of cautious that i'd get dependent on them.

15. How would you describe your style? I wear clothes.

16. How old will you be turning on your next birthday? 21 bitches!

17. Do you wear contacts or glasses? I've recently just been given my first prescription for glasses! I only need them for driving/reading etc so I don't strain my eyes.

18. Do you colour your hair? I ombre the ends blonde every now and again. The last time I did it it didn't work very well so it doesn't look that different.

19. Tell me something you are planning to do today. Going to order my first pair of glasses!

20. What's the drink you always order at Starbucks? Vanilla Hot Chocolate, mmmm.

21. What did you want to be when you were little? A Paleontologist (Google it).

22. What's a beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice? Man buns look ridiculous. I don't practice this because I am not a man.

23. Have you ever had an all-nighter? I've only ever had 1 successful all-nighter (I love sleep too much) and it was at my 13th Birthday Party. Our loft had just been converted and it hadn't been decorated with carper/paint yet. so Mum let me use it to have 5 friends over. We hung Hawaiian decorations everywhere. To say this was a completely sober party, it was a pretty hectic night.

24. Can you taste the difference between Pepsi and Coke? Personally I prefer Coke. Just the Diet one though. The full fat one makes my teeth feel funny.
